What services does ServiClean provide?

ServiClean provides professional home cleaning to Airbnb hosts. Our certified Clean Team members will do everything it takes to get your place ready for your guests, from making sure the place is spotless to ensuring that you never run out of items like paper towels and toilet paper.

Additionally, our teams are trained to look out for details post-guest, like broken or missing items. They essentially are your eyes and ears when you are away from your home.

I hear ServiClean is currently testing a pilot with Airbnb. Can I sign-up and be a part of the pilot?

Hosts selected for the pilot will be alerted about participation directly from Airbnb via email. If you have not been included in the pilot, please stayed tuned as the pilot expands. We look forward to working with you!

What are the costs for the services?

For the pilot period, there are no cleaning costs to participating hosts. Post-pilot period, all cleaning fees will be reasonably priced and communicated to hosts.

How do I pay for service?

All cleaning bookings must be made directly through our secure site. Our system accepts all major credit cards, as well as Paypal.

What components comprise a basic general cleaning?

A general cleaning will include wiping down all surfaces in all rooms including bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen. This includes but is not limited to, dusting all surfaces, wiping down window sills and vacuuming (and mopping, if requested), wiping the outside of the refrigerator, as well as throwing away any perishables, making beds and tidying to ready for your guest.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Yes. ServiClean carries insurance to ensure any loss is covered in the unlikely event that something is damaged during our service.

What cleaning products do Clean Teams use in cleaning and readying my home for my guests?

Our Clean Teams use ServiClean’s own green cleaning supplies that are environmentally friendly. Upon request, and within reason, we’re happy to use your products. Just let us know at the time of booking. All of our associates travel with a vacuum. They do not carry a mop but will mop if you provide one.

Do I need to tip?

While the thought is appreciated, we ask that you do not tip our team members. ServiClean prides itself on providing fair and living wages and benefits to all of its employees. Our employees should always be doing an amazing job for our clients and as such, tips should be politely declined if offered.

Do you do laundry?

Yes. We will do laundry if washing machine and dryer is located in your actual home. Unfortunately, we do not at this time offer any other laundry services or linen/towel exchange.

Are your services available on holidays?

We do not provide cleaning on holidays observed by our company. They are: New Year’s Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We will however have the capacity to respond to emergencies on these days.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

No. You do not need to provide supplies for your cleaning unless you have products you would prefer the Clean Team members to use (please note this when booking). All supplies are provided to the host by the ServiClean teams at no additional cost to the host (this includes all cleaning products and a vacuum).

Note: Due to the fact that some of our Clean Team members get to the cleaning location via public transportation, they do not carry mops - hosts must supply this item if mopping is required.

We currently service the following Los Angeles area neighborhoods, Culver City, Marina Del Ray, Venice, Playa Vista, Playa Del Ray, Beverly Wood, West LA, Rancho Park, Mar Vista, Westchester, El Segundo, Palms, and Ladera Heights. What is a Clean Team member?

Clean Team members are highly trained cleaning and host service representatives. As part of the Airbnb/ServiClean pilot, each team member goes through an extensive 5-day training session focused specifically on the cleaning and service needs of Airbnb hosts. Clean Team members are trained to prepare your home so that the guest has the best possible experience as they walk through the door. Additionally, they will look out for details, post-guest stay, such as broken or missing items and report occurrences immediately to our office-based support team.

Are Clean Team members employees of ServiClean?

Yes, every Cleaning Team member is an actual employees of ServiClean.

Are Clean Team members background checked?

Yes, safety and security of your home and your possessions are of utmost concern and as such all our team members are screened for past criminal history through a Criminal History Background Check. Additionally, we complete a social security verification on all employees and conduct interviews and complete reference checks on prior employment.

What are the cleaning qualifications of your Clean Team members?

ServiClean has one of the best and most advanced training facilities in the country. All Clean Team members go through Residential Cleaning Certification at our LEED Platinum Learning Center in Culver City prior to servicing our clients. Our comprehensive Certification Program includes information about the use of cleaning agents, how to clean a home effectively, and how to deliver high performance with efficiency and care. We spend time training our Clean Teams how to prepare your home for an Airbnb guest. Our members must demonstrate competence through simulations and field assessments before they begin cleaning for our host clients.

My house is a wreck, what if I need a deep cleaning?

If you require additional cleaning time due to a very dirty home, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to have the cleaner spend the time necessary, and within reason, to get it in shape for your guests.

How long will Clean Team members need to clean my home?

This depends on the size and overall condition of the home. However, it will generally take between 2-3 hours to clean a typical studio or 1-bedroom home. Sometimes, however, overtime is needed due to heavier use or other factors related to the cleaning (e.g.- prior guests didn’t check out on time and our cleaner couldn’t start on time).

How do I know all of my cleaning and pre-or-post guest requests will be followed?

We go through great measures to make sure all general cleaning items are done each and every time. Please be sure to let us know during the booking process if you have additional requests such as leaving a welcome note, a gift, or if laundry needs to be done and where additional linens are located, etc. Please note laundry may be done, if the washing machine and dryer are located in the Host’s home. The more details we have ahead of the actual cleaning, the better equipped we’ll be to make sure they are completed according to your wishes.

How do I communicate details about my cleaning to the cleaner?

You will provide all details at the time of booking for your cleaning. Our team will pass along all of the details to the cleaner and make sure any specific requests have been successfully communicated and completed.

What if I need to edit some of my notes or update the cleaner with additional information?

Please be sure and do this at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled cleaning so we can be sure we are able to communicate it in time to our Clean Team members. What are ServiClean's hours of operation?

ServiClean’s business hours are between 8:00am - 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time Monday - Sunday. For any questions about the service, or if you have requests or changes to a service that has already been booked, client support teams are available by phone or email between these hours. In the event you need assistance during non-business hours we have staff available to respond to emergencies.

How do I book a service through ServiClean?

Participating hosts will have received an email from Airbnb with instructions on how to book your cleaning. If you are a host who has not yet been invited, please stay tuned as Airbnb and ServiClean will be working to expand the pilot. You'll be notified from Airbnb as the pilot expands.

When pilot is over, all clients will need to book their cleaning service directly on our site. ServiClean accepts all major credit cards as well as Paypal.

How much advance notice do I need to provide to book a service through ServiClean?

Bookings for cleaning services must be made at least 48 hours in advance in order to ensure that all of the details of your needs are met.

I need to cancel my cleaning? How do I do this? Is there a cancellation charge/fee?

We understand that schedules change and are happy to modify or cancel cleaning services. If you need to cancel your cleaning service, please reach out to us as soon as possible. We ask that any cancellation is done at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled cleaning time and date as our teams are scheduled the day prior. Should you need to cancel the same day as your cleaning service was scheduled, a cancellation fee may apply.

What if I am not at my home to let the cleaner in?

If you are not going to be home at the time of cleaning, that is fine. Just let us know, at the time of booking how we are to gain access to your home. Leaving keys at the security desk or with a neighbor or keeping a set of keys with ServiClean at our offices securely are ways in which we gain access. We would just need to know the details of the entry process at the time of booking.

What happens with unforeseen events like traffic accidents, heavy rain, major disruption such as an earthquake?

ServiClean will always do it’s very best to keep all cleaning bookings. Should issues arise we will reach out directly to the host to resolve any potential scheduling issue.

Can you hold a set of keys on file for me?

Yes, we are able to hold a set of keys on file for your cleaning and restocking needs. We would store these securely in our offices. If your locks are ever changed or replaced, please be sure to reach out to us as soon as possible so we can switch the set out to ensure uninterrupted service.

I am in a condominium. Are your cleaners able to pick-up keys from my security desk or designated personnel and return them when they finish cleaning?

Yes. Many of our clients leave a set of keys with their security personnel or a building manager for our cleaners to use at the time of cleaning. Our cleaners will leave them as requested when they finish cleaning. Please provide the name of our company (ServiClean) to your security or designated personnel in advance so we get the right set, and are able to gain access at the scheduled time.
